Good afternoon,

So I decided that for my 20 pound milestone, instead of eating a crazed high calorie, high carb cheat meal, I would purchase an outfit to show off my progress. I’m at 6 pounds right now. The thing is I’m not weighing myself everyday. The problem with weighing in daily is it can be a barrier or decrease motivation because you aren’t seeing results. I weigh in every two weeks. I was looking for someone to do this healthier lifestyle with and I found that person, MY MOM! We are doing great. We hold each other accountable and support each other In a positive way. Instead of going out and adding calories by drinking a mixed drink or beer, I decided to try making low carb tomato basil soup. I’ll post the recipe later. Anyways, the link is an idea of my first outfit for my first accomplishment. You get the idea of my style. Stay healthy, stay happy!

5 pounds down

It’s all smiles today my fellow followers. That’s right; I’m down 5 pounds. I feel great and I’m happy as can be. The trick is don’t give up. There were times I wanted to give in and eat that cookie or French fries, but I fought til the bitter end. I know this sounds impossible but I gave up some carbs. NOT ALL. The thing is, it’s almost near impossible to give up all carbs and eat ZERO. I cut out bread, but here’s the thing they make low carb bread. They are so many good foods that have few carbs. Here’s an example of my daily menu:

breakfast

Omelette with mushrooms and pork sausage.

A cup of coffee with sugar free creamer.

lunch

Tuna salad with a side Caesar salad no crouton

Cup of water or GREEN TEA.

snack
Atkins snack bars- they are found in most grocery stores

dinner
Chicken fajitas with salsa and guacamole
Side of marinated cucumbers and tomatoes

The cucumbers and tomatoes are used as a snack for me too. They are fabulous especially if you like vinegary things like me.

Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys some of these things. When you meet your first goal; make a big deal about it. You made it! You busted your rump to get there and you deserve a pat on the back or a day to gloat.

Hump day! We love it

Happy Hump Day everyone. I started off today with a herbalife shake. I’m not going to lie; it was fabulous. The main thing I want to mention is in my last post I stated “GO GREEN”. When I say that, I really mean GO green. I have had a special craving for veggies and green tea lately. Let me say, it hasn’t failed me. I sleep better at night, my skin is starting to look healthier by clearing up and glowing. Lipton green tea is great, especially the peach or mixed berry. I personally drink about 5 cups of green tea a day just because it keeps me going. I also received a complement today from one of my kids. It wasn’t on weight loss, it was on happiness. They said, “you look happier today”. I guess it’s true, when you work towards healthier choices, you end up happier. Stay tuned tomorrow. I am cooking my first healthy dinner on my own. I’m thinking some sort of soup.

Ready, Set, Go!

DEAR Strugglers,

First off, let me say, you are NOT alone. I am struggling with you. It will take time! WE ARE BEAUTIFUL!

My very first post is dedicated to be accountable and truthful. My name is Paige Poth and I weigh 220 pounds as of today. There isn’t a problem believing that I’m beautiful the way I am; it’s just I feel better when I’m healthier. So, before we get started let’s just say, THIS IS NOT A DIET. It’s a change of plans to lead me to a healthier life. Believe it or NOT,  I was 164 pounds 3 years ago. If my math is right, that’s almost 60 pounds gained, and I am the one to blame. I could sit here all day and try to blame fast food, but until I look in the mirror and say, “hey girl, you are RESPONSIBLE”, I will never improve. Like I said earlier I am 220 pounds. Am I saying this is going to be easy, Heck NO! I know better than that. If it’s easy, it’s not long lasting. Good things take time. So here is my journey. It starts now. TODAY. To start off the day right, my dinner consisted of kale Caesar salad, squash, and hamburger patty with mushrooms. Happy Eating my followers. My final advice tonight, color your plate. It’s fun and good for you. GO GREEN!

happy thoughts,

Paige
